Frequently Asked Questions

Where is my plant data stored?

Plant profiles, care history, ordinary plant photos, and preferences are primarily stored locally on your device. Use PlantCare's local backup feature before changing devices, deleting the app, or clearing app data.

Why did I not receive a care reminder?

Open your device settings and confirm that notifications are allowed for PlantCare. Also check the reminder settings inside the app. Battery-saving modes and Focus modes may delay or suppress notifications.

Why could PlantCare not identify my plant?

AI identification requires an internet connection. Use a bright, clear photo that shows the leaves and overall plant. Avoid heavy blur, dark backgrounds, or multiple plants in the same photo. AI results may be inaccurate, so you can review and edit the result before saving.

How do I restore PlantCare Pro?

Open PlantCare Pro and choose Restore Purchases. Make sure the device is signed in to the same Apple ID or Google account used for the original purchase. Store processing may take a moment.

How do I manage or cancel a subscription?

Deleting PlantCare does not automatically cancel an active subscription.

How do I delete my data?

You can delete individual plants and records or clear local PlantCare data from the app's Data & Storage settings. Uninstalling the app also removes locally stored app data, subject to your device backup settings.

Is PlantCare's advice guaranteed?

No. Care plans, reminders, knowledge content, and AI output are general informational aids. Plant needs vary by environment. Review your plant's actual condition and consult a qualified professional for serious pests, toxicity concerns, or chemical use.
