PlantCare Privacy Policy

PlantCare: AI Plant Tracker does not provide user registration or a PlantCare login account. Your plant library and photos are primarily stored on your device.

1. Information We Process

• Local plant data: plant profiles, environments, health status, care schedules, task feedback, care history, growth records, notes, and settings.
• Photos: ordinary plant and growth photos are stored in the app-private directory. When you choose a photo in the Add Plant AI identification step, a compressed copy is temporarily uploaded to our Alibaba Cloud OSS storage so Agnes AI can retrieve and analyze it. We attempt to delete that temporary OSS object immediately after identification, whether identification succeeds or fails.
• Network and diagnostic data: online providers may process IP address, request time, app version, device type, operating-system information, and limited diagnostic logs when you use AI, advertising, analytics, crash reporting, or store services. PlantCare does not create a user or guest account.
• AI data: when you invoke AI analysis or Add Plant image identification, relevant plant and care information, your prompt, the submitted image or its temporary retrievable URL, generated output, and usage records are sent to our server and Agnes AI.
• Subscription data: on iOS, the app uses Apple StoreKit and the App Store; on Android, it uses Google Play Billing. PlantCare queries the applicable store on your device for owned subscriptions and uses the returned purchase status to enable Pro features. PlantCare does not send purchase tokens or receipts to our server for subscription verification and does not use a Google Play service-account credential. Payment details remain with Apple or Google, as applicable.
• Analytics and diagnostics: app interactions, app version, device and operating-system information, crash traces, performance context, and coarse usage information collected through Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics. We do not send your ordinary plant photos or notes to Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics.
• Preferences: theme, language, reminder time, notification choices, and accessibility preferences.

2. Permissions

• Camera and photos: to capture or select plant images.
• Notifications: to deliver care reminders you enable.
• Local storage: to keep the local database, private photos, and backups.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to operate local plant care features, provide optional AI analysis, enable store subscription benefits, maintain security, respond to support requests, and diagnose failures. We do not sell personal information or use plant photos for targeted advertising.

• Apple App Store and StoreKit for iOS purchases, restoration, billing, and subscription management.
• Google Play for Android purchases, restoration, billing, and subscription management.
• Google AdMob for ads shown to free users.
• Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics for aggregated usage measurement, stability monitoring, and crash diagnostics.

6. Security and Retention

We use HTTPS, restricted access, and app-private storage. Local information remains until you delete it, clear app data, or uninstall. Server-side AI, security, and diagnostic records are retained only as reasonably needed for the feature, abuse prevention, legal obligations, and dispute handling. Subscription status is obtained on the device from the Apple App Store or Google Play, as applicable, and may be cached locally for continuity.

7. Your Choices and Data Deletion

You can delete individual plants, photos, histories, AI results, or all local data from PlantCare settings. You may disable AI, revoke permissions, or disable notifications at any time. Deleting app data or uninstalling PlantCare does not cancel an active subscription. On iOS, manage cancellation in your Apple ID subscription settings. On Android, manage cancellation in Google Play.

8. Children, Changes, and Contact

PlantCare is not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy when features, providers, or legal requirements change and will update the effective date. Contact us at the address above with privacy questions.
